چکیده
Background: Baringeng is a corn-producing village in Soppeng Regency, South Sulawesi. The main problem for corn farmers the town insect pests. Insect pests damage plant, which has an impact on decreasing yields. Control of must be by type This study aims to calculate diversity Village and they cause. Methods: Data was collected Takku Hamlet, Tanjonge Hamlet. with systematic plot sampling method help light traps, sweep nets, direct collection Observations included number individuals types were analyzed Shannon-Wiener index (H'), evenness (E), dominance (C), similarity index. Results: There three total 153 that attacked Village, namely grasshoppers (Oxya sp.), planthoppers (Peregrinus maidis), armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda). low category (H'=0.89), (E) high sort (E=0.81), (C=0.44), lowest shown between Dusun (IS=50%). Conclusions: found come from different orders, Orthoptera, Lepidoptera, Hemiptera. Each shows other attack characteristics, but all leaves. So pest control can use natural materials spraying leaves, polyculture, crop rotation, or taking directly.

Ozone Sensitivity in Sweet Corn (Zea mays L.) Plants: A Possible Relationship to Water Balance.
Stomatal characteristics affecting gas exchange were compared in two sweet corn hybrids (var. Bonanza and Monarch Advance) which differ in foliar ozone sensitivity. No significant differences were observed in stomatal frequencies, guard cell lengths, or conductances to water vapor diffusion. When plant water status was compared, leaf-water potentials for the ozone-resistant cultivar, Bonanza, we...

متن کاملPhenolic profiles of Andean purple corn (Zea mays L.)
Qualitative and quantitative high performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection (HPLC-DAD) was performed to characterize the presence of phenolic compounds in Andean purple corn. Phenolic compounds were analyzed by separating them in two main fractions: a water fraction (WF) and an ethyl acetate fraction (EAF). The WF rich in anthocyanins revealed the presence of cyanidin-3-gluco...
متن کاملUtilisation of corn (Zea mays) bran and corn fiber in the production of food components.
The milling of corn for the production of food constituents results in a number of low-value co-products. Two of the major co-products produced by this operation are corn bran and corn fiber, which currently have low commercial value. This review focuses on current and prospective research surrounding the utilization of corn fiber and corn bran in the production of potentially higher-value food...
